Australia Day in the City is SA's major Australia Day celebration in the heart of Adelaide. Join more than 42,000 people celebrating with our Parade, Concert & Fireworks!
Australia Day in the City is a great event where everyone can come together and celebrate what it means to be Australian.
The event begins with the country's largest Australia Day Parade - more than 4000 people walked through the streets of Adelaide in 2014! The Parade participants a huge number of cultural and community groups. plus floats, roving performers, vintage vehicles, marching bands, a giant echidna and a fly-past by an F-18 Hornet!
After making its way through city streets, the procession converged on Elder Park at 7pm for the twilight Australia Day Concert.
Past concerts have included Aussie stars Ricki-Lee, Stan Walker, Jessica Mauboy, Kisschasy, Vanessa Amorosi and Carl Risely. The 2014 concert was headlined by Timomatic and supported by Sarah De Bono!
Australia Day in the City is presented by the Australia Day Council of South Australia, with support from Adelaide City Council.
