Adriana Christopoulos, the Chair of the Australia Day Council of SA said the opportunity for 23 new citizens to take part in Multicultural Round was a unique and exciting one;“It will be a great thrill for the families who will have a very special experience in becoming Citizens of Australia at the amazing new Adelaide Oval in front of thousands of people. The Australia Day Council sees this as a tremendous way to celebrate the diversity of this country”
A new initiative will be held this Sunday with a Citizenship Ceremony being held at the Adelaide Oval before the game between Port Adelaide Football Club and the Melbourne Demons. It is also significant as Round 18 of the AFL Schedule has been designated as Multicultural Round
